Inabe Civil Engineering Heritage and Fukuou Shrine
Inabe Civil Engineering Heritage and Fukuou Shrine
The Megane Bridge, which is registered as a civil engineering heritage of Inabe, is a very rare concrete block system among many in Japan.
The three-storied archway is a beautiful and Instagram-worthy photo spot. The Fukuo Shrine of the Tengu legend is also dedicated to Bishamonten (god of warriors), who has long been said to have protected the country and the Ise Jingu Shrine.

Recommendations for this plan
Nejiri Bridge" registered as a Civil Engineering Heritage site
It is a bridge over "Roppa no Yusui" made in the Edo period, and the blocks at the bottom of the arch bridge are piled up with a twist because the bridge and the irrigation water intersect diagonally.
This structure is called "Twisted Manpo" and is a very valuable bridge that is said to be the only existing concrete block bridge.
Megane Bridge" registered as a Civil Engineering Heritage site
It is running on the "spectacles bridge" that was certified as a civil engineering heritage selected by the Civil Engineering Society of 2009, and the triple-barrel arch is beautiful, making it a typical shooting spot on the Hokusei Line.
Fukuo Shrine
Fukuo Shrine, which is located after climbing the steep stone steps, is dedicated to Bishamonten, which is said to have been dedicated by Prince Shotoku 1200 years ago, and is bustling with the 3rd day of every month.
The history of this shrine is about 1400 years ago, when the Buddhist builder Anami came to the morning from Baekje during the time of Emperor Bidatsu and carved Bishamonten, and then this statue was sacred. It is said that it was enshrined on Mt. Fukuo by the order of the prince and was used as a national guardian and a guardian of Ise Jingu.
In the precincts of the shrine, old cedar trees are thick and there is a harsh sign of forest, and among them, a huge sacred tree called Taiko cedar, which is over 1000 years old, tells the age of history.
Takenari 500 Rakan
When you visit Dainichido in Takenari, you will be greeted by 469 statues of Rakan. This Rakan statue, which has a different facial expression for each body, is known as "Takenari's 500 Rakan" and is a historic site designated by the prefecture.
